Obviously, all three of these heat sinks are cut from the same cloth. The rise-above-ambient load temperatures show a statistically insignificant 1ºC variation, but the 947U does in fact come out on top, with a rise above ambient of less than 20ºC. It certainly seems as though the unit wasn’t hindered much by the rough base finish, which was borne out by the fact that further testing with a lapped base failed to reduce temperatures by any meaningful amount. This stellar performance combined with dramatically improved compatibility with AMD-based systems means that Thermalright has yet another winner on its hands, and the Thermalright SLK-947U takes its place among the best performing heat sinks we’ve ever tested here at SystemCooling.com.

zeer mooi allemaal, maar het spijtige van de zaak is dat je met die type sinks moet oppassen. Ze zijn lang niet compatibel met alle MoBo's...
